Ice cream

Delicious ice cream using the Myra Jones recipe.

Ingredients

1lb of fruit (any will do! either freshly chopped or seived if from tin)
8oz icing sugar
juice of 2 lemons
half pint of double cream

Steps

Purée the fruit together with the icing sugar and lemon juice.
Whip the cream until thick.
Fold the cream into the puréed fruit.
Freeze in any suitable container, but remove from freezer and stir periodically.
Remove from freezer 15–30 minutes before required.

Tips

Use more than one type of fruit for a varied, interesting flavour.
We've tried: mango & lychee, mango & melon, summer fruits & pear.
